The relation of a text with other texts (which is known as One of the facts that the Holy Qur’ān has dealt with in some verses is the incidence of distortion in the Torah. Some of the exegetes have admitted the verbal distortion of the Torah while others believe in its intellectual distortion. This article is intended to explicate various kinds of verbal and intellectual distortion of Torah based on the verse 75 of Sūrat al-Baqara. Having examined the opinions of the interpreters under this verse, it is included that the intellectual distortion of the Torah by the Jewish scholars is undeniable; however, proving the verbal distortion of the Torah according to the verse 75 of Sūrat al-Baqara is impossible.
