Sayyid al-Shuhadā (A.S.)’s ‘Arafa supplication is one of the most precious supplications narrated for the day of ‘Arafa. I have attempted in this article to study this noble supplication in terms of sanad and denotation; that is to say, first I have mentioned one of the reliable supplication books conveying this noble hadīth, briefly introduced their authors, dealt with the narrators of the supplication, and then I pointed out the viewpoints of the rijāl scholars about them. Furthermore, I have addressed the denotation of the hadīth pointing out that the content of the hadīth by itself best denotes it soundness. In the end, I have briefly discussed about the supplement of this noble supplication and its attribution to Imam al-Husayn (A.S.) citing the viewpoints of some Shī‘a dignitaries in this respect.
