The concept of vision of God in general and the request for it by the Prophet Moses (A.S.) in particular is among the controversial issues. In this article, the writer has stated the most important views in this respect. He argues that the Prophet Moses’ request (arinī – show me [Yourself]) was in fact prompted by the frequent requests by Banī Isrā’īl, who demanded to see God visibly. In conclusion, the issue of the Prophet Moses’ repentance and its philosophy is dealt with.
