The minbar (pulpit) renowned as Sāhib al-Zamān (Lord of Time) is located in Aivān-i Maqsūra of Gawharshād Mosque. This fourteen-step pulpit is made of walnut and pear wood, without using any nails. This
artistic work has no date of construction, but it is probably made simultaneous to the construction of the Mosque itself and the name of its constructor is Sultān Hasan b. NajjārKirmānī. Since long ago, the Shī‘as have assumed that Sāhib al-Zamān (Imam Mahdi – A.S.) will mount the pulpit when he reappears.
