Abstract
In the present study, a methodological proposal is presented to improve the method used in the valuable book Another Prophet; Jesus in the Qur’an. Therefore, “the divine confirmation of Jesus by the Holy Spirit”, as one of the specific gifts of that Prophet, is analyzed based on the Qur’an prophetology in order to show the necessity of combining Qur’an historical and chronological studies with the text holistic studies of this Holy Book as a whole. The research method is to extract the conceptual network of key words in the prophetology of the Qur’an, such as “revelation, spirit, divine command, angels” and to logically analyze and discover semantic relationships in this network. As a result of using this method, one of the assumptions of the authors is confirmed and strengthened: “Perhaps the statements regarding Jesus are related to his confirmation by the Holy Spirit; in a way, these statements can only develop the ultimate power of persuasion and clarity of speech when they are seen with the help of the spirit. In this case, such confirmation, in comparison with the statements of the prophets of the Old Testament, also gives a different quality to miracles and signs; because here they testify to a special connection with God that is influenced by the spirit and derives its authority from him.
