Explanation of the Referent of “The Word” (Al-Qawl) in Āya , ﴾So give good news to My servants who listen to the word [of Allah] and follow the best [sense] of it.﴿ (Q. 39:17-18)
In thisarticle, with the interpretation of the Qur’ān through Qur’ān method, the meaning of the word (al-qawl) in āya, ﴾So give good news to My servants who listen to the word [of Allah] and follow the best [sense] of it.﴿ is studied and it is proved that al in al-qawl is a covenant al and al-qawl is the identified word between God and His Prophet that is this very Qur’ān and thus, this āya is intended to impart good tidings to and praising the listeners and followers of the best teachings of the Qur’ān; rather than praising the listeners of any words and the followers of the best of them.
