Methods of Reinforcing Positive Attitude from the Viewpoint of the Qur‘ān and Traditions

Abstract

There are various factors that prepare the ground for positive thinking and are influential in its development. In the present article, by studying the verses of the Holy Qur‘an and the traditions of the Ahl al-Bayt (A.S.), we find out that one can reinforce positive thinking in oneself and exceed the countless Divine Graces to oneself through such approaches as positive imagery, aiming at success as a mental prerequisite, generosity, and forgiveness of others and by remembering Divine Blessings and thankfulness for them. In recent years, educational scientists have undertaken to study the amazing impacts of positive thinking and purification of mind on human life. These studies, of course, have more touched upon the psycho-spiritual aspects assumed from the experiences and evidences of people’s lives or through psychological studies. In the present research, methods of reinforcing positive thinking and its strong effects on human situation are studied inspired by the teachings of the Holy Qur’ān and the Ahl al-Bayt (A.S.).
