Abstract

The had th of ``Shaqqu Sadr al-Nab (S.A.W)'' (Opening up the  Prophet's Heart) is among the traditions narrated  in the  books  of s ra,  history, and had  h  and   regarded by  Muslims  as  among  the Apostle of Allah's (S.A.W.)   miracles   and  merits.  Furthermore, some  interpreters   have touched  upon  this  hab th  in  their  mterpretation of the Sura al-Inshira h. They have considered the opening verses of this Sura as referring to the above had th. It has  also attracted  the  attention  of many  researchers  on the  history  of    Islam. They  have   presented various viewpoints concerning this issue. In this writing, the  viewpoints  of  the  interpreters and researchers as to the reality  or  unreality  of  the  had  th  of  ``Shaqqu Sadr al-Nab (S.A.W.)'' have been reviewed along with a documental and contextual examination of this tradition.
