An Analysis of some Theological and Ethical Discourses in Sahifa al-Sajjadiyya

Abstract

We believe that each of the infallible Imams (A.S.) selected the best alternatives in their own era for carrying out religious leadership. Imam Sajjad (A.S.) has stated the true meaning of supplication by means of deepening its real meaning and comprehensive look at it. In this essay, the writer has divided supplication into four general categories: needs; worships; remembrance of Allah on the basis of scientific and natural manifestations of Divine works; and social and individual self-improvement. Then, giving some examples of the Imam (A.S.)'s supplications, he has dealt wit a theological and ethical analysis of those categories.
