In this article, the obstacles and pathologies of unity are studied from the ethical standpoint in the life history of the Prophet (S.A.W.). Cynicism and mistrust, jealousy and suspicion, and bigotry are regarded as the source of disunity, and ethical evils which have been frequently reproached in the sīra of the Prophet (S.A.W.).
