Occasions of revelation, as recognition of temporal, spatial, individual, social, and other situations, are the grounds on which the revelation of a verse or verses has taken place and include the narrations which have been collected concerning the occasions of revelation of the verses. This article deals with the meaning of occasions of revelation and their application, and studies the viewpoints of both the past and the present scholars in this respect.
