The Essence of Actions and its Impact on Behavior from the Viewpoints of the Islamic Psychology

Abstract

The importance of the inner aspects or the essence (malakūt) of actions is an issue highly emphasized in Islamic culture and viewed as a criterion for human actions. While describing the concept of malakūt in Islamic culture, the writer tries to prove with the help of the concepts in psychology that there is a relationship between the man's outward behavior and the malakūt of his actions.
He maintains that belief in malakūt causes the correction of one's cognition, behavior and life style, idealism, and self-control, which are dealt with in this article.
