Psychological Requirements of Peace and Stable Attachment between Spouses Based on Verse 21 of Rum Surah

Abstract

Marriage is the cornerstone of family formation and a means to preserve human religion and his evolution. In "Rum" Surah, verse 21, spouses’ creation is a divine sign and the origin of peace and attachment between them; But peace and attachment are vulnerable and for their continuity and stability, special psychological requirements are required. The main problem of this research is to explain peace and stable attachment requirements between spouses from the Qur'an and psychology teachings point of view, using the "Rum" Surah verse 21 evidence, with collecting library data and descriptive-analytical processing method. According to the findings, paying attention to the heart dimension of peace and giving authenticity to the wife in providing it is one of the psychological requirements for the peace stability between spouses. Also, paying attention to the divine origin of love between spouses, focusing on the moral-motivational aspects of attachment, as well as love generalization in all family matters, have been considered as psychological requirements for the attachment continuation between spouses.
