This study examines the role of language and culture in the era of revelation in understanding the vocabulary of the Holy Quran and shows that this factor has led to the formation of diverse interpretive approaches. Some approaches emphasize the sufficiency of linguistic and literary knowledge in explaining vocabulary, while others emphasize the need to pay attention to the cultural and social contexts of vocabulary.Within this framework, a descriptive-analytical model for understanding the cultural vocabulary of the Quran is presented, which is based on five components: the cultural nature of the word, the sufficiency of internal evidence, the assessment of its Quranic nature, the need for linguistic studies, and the role of the word in conveying the message. These components are organized in the form of a decision tree and five interpretive rules and identify three levels of understanding of words: first, dependent understanding, in which the meaning and function of the word is strongly dependent on the culture and social context of the era of revelation; second, semi-dependent understanding, in which part of the meaning is clarified by internal evidence of the Quran, but for deeper layers, attention to cultural contexts is required; and third, independent understanding, in which understanding the word at the level of Arabic language and literature is sufficient and does not require serious reference to the culture of the time. This three-level division provides a systematic way to more accurately understand the language of the Quran and its relationship to the culture of the era of revelation
