Mental stress is one of the most prevalent psychological maladies of modern time, which has caused much social and economic damage, prompting psychologists to provide solutions for dealing with it. Plenty of measurements and surveys made by researchers in therapeutic and psychological counseling, however, have indicated that resorting to the Qur'an and applying the solutions presented by it is the most desirable approach to deal with iths malady. It is regarded as an effective non-medicinal way of reducing stress and creating peace of mind.
This writing reviews certain ways of fighting against mental stress from the viewpoint of the Qur'an. Among ways proposed for this purpose are ''Return to one's fitra (inner nature); self-analysis of the mental stress; seeking spirituality; invocation; spiritual reliance on faith; trust in God, and abiding by it, etc.
