Exploration into the Sunnīs’ traditions concerning Imam ‘Alī’s (A.S.) Mushaf (Qur’ān) leads us to the fact that this valuable Shī‘a heritage has a real existence, has been preserved by the Shī‘a Imams, has been a source of their knowledge, and right now is at Imam Mahdī’s (Aj.) disposal. Margins of this Qur’ān are replete with exegesis and rulings, and contrary to the wrong conception of the Sunnī traditions, it is not restricted to just a few jurisprudential rulings. Accordingly, Imam ‘Alī (A.S.) is the first compiler of the Qur’ān. Furthermore, the contents of the Mushaf as well as a study of its being rejected by the ruling system when it was presented, unveils some of the ideological misconceptions and exonerates the Shī‘as from accusation of distortion of the Qur’ān.
