In view of the spiritual and historical status of the Ahl al-Bayt (A.S.), the question is raised that why their names are not explicitly mentioned in the Qur'an; although some believe that the name of Imam Ali (A.S.) has been eliminated from the Qur'an as a result of distortions in this Scripture. However, the writer of the article tries to prove that this viewpoint is not logically justified and ultimately tends to assert that since the Qur'an is a book of guidance and deals more with general principles, so there would be no need for pointing out the names of the Ahl al-Bayt (A.S.), particularly that many verses have been revealed in respect to their dignity.
