Literary interpretation is as expansive as the literature and culture; nowadays, however, this has been reduced to several literary sciences – which have been formulated at least two centuries before the revelation of the Qur'an. Introducing the Qur'an as a literary masterpiece, Amīn Khawlī in the contemporary era has emphasized the necessity of providing literary interpretation – in its general sense. In this writing, it is attempted to introduce the components of literary interpretation and its wide application – as apposed to the prevalent impression of literary interpretation.
