This study aims to conduct an in depth analysis of the tradition of Imam Reza (A.S.) concerning the humiliation of a believer on account of poverty, examining its underlying themes of human dignity within the corpus of Razavi discourse. The tradition explicitly delineates the relationship between the language of disparagement and the violation of a believer’s dignity, thereby allowing for a critical exploration of the link between religious discourse and social structures. Employing a thematic analysis approach within the framework of critical discourse analysis, the research identifies and categorizes the basic, organizing, and overarching themes derived from the text of the tradition and explicates their ethical and social implications. Findings indicate that Imam Reza (A.S.) recognizes intrinsic human dignity as independent of economic status, rejects all forms of class based judgment or behavior predicated on poverty, and emphasizes the moral responsibility of language in safeguarding the respect owed to believers. These insights illuminate the dignity centered foundations of the Razavi tradition and provide a conceptual framework for interpreting contemporary social and linguistic behaviors while remaining faithful to the boundaries and intentions of the original tradition text.
