In the Qur’ānic doctrines the nonverbal communications, such as anger, fury, indignation, and look are explicitly or implicitly regarded as important. Remarkable points have been mentioned for eye contacts, including chaste look, gazing while noticing an astonishing and sometimes frightening phenomenon, and humiliating look. As weeping represents overwhelming emotions and sentiments which are mentioned in the Qur‘ān at the time of love and passion, sorrow and grief, deception and trick, and repentance, laughing also represents delight and joy in nonverbal communication. Laughing is one of the most efficient signs of nonverbal communications with others. Among the recommendations to the believers is to show your joy and delight on your face, and hide your sorrow and grief in your heart.
